CES 2012: The World’s First 4K Handheld Camcorder Announced by JVC
It was at NAB 2011 where JVC first showcased their Falconbrid LSI processor inside a few 2K and 4K prototypes, promising the production of a 4K camcorder in due time. Fast forward less than one year later and the folks at JVC have delivered, holding true to their word and announcing “the world’s first 4k handheld camcorder,” the GY-HMQ10.

Olympus Sues Its President and 18 Other Executives in $1.7 Billion Accounting Scandal
As Olympus continues their accounting fraud clean-up efforts, which happens to be one of Japan’s worst business scandals, the now shamed camera maker plans to sue its active president Shuichi Takayama and 18 executives, both past and present, for up to $47 million (3.6 billion yen) in damages.
Olympus stated that all current board members involved in the lawsuit plan to resign by March or April of this year, creating one incredibly awkward working situation to say the least.
