B&H has opened up pre-orders on the Canon EOS C300, revealing a concrete price-point at which U.S. retailers will start to move Canon’s digital cinema camera out the door for. Both the EF and PL mount C300 bodies will set you back $15,999, while the Canon cine-zooms could be yours for a mere $40,000+ (ouch!):

Metabones and Conurus Release a Canon EF to Sony NEX Lens Adapter With Electronic Aperture Control

Metabones, in association with Conurus, has released a Canon EF/EF-S to E-mount lens adapter with full electronic aperture control. Gone are the days of shooting wide open with modern Canon glass mounted on your NEX, as the “Smart Adapter” offers “true electronic integration of the aperture diaphragm.” This allows for the camera to automatically choose the aperture while, for example, in shutter priority mode, or, alternatively, the ability to manually select the aperture straight from the camera while in aperture priority or full manual mode.
