The Latest Canon Lens Patent Reveals a Rather Interesting Zoom Range

Quick News – In an application filed in June of 2010, but published earlier this week, patent 2012-8344 calls for a fast tele-zoom, boasting a constant F/2 aperture and a focal range unique to Canon at 55-110mm. Quite an intriguing looking lens if it ever sees the light of day.
