I haven't gone to see the film yet, but many critics are saying the movie's a big commercial flop. I really feel like it was just the way the film was marketed (vague film title) and the timing of it coming out were the biggest factors for it not being more of a success. Honestly, from what it looks like on imdb and rotten tomatoes, John Carter is far from being a bad film.
Any thoughts on it from those who've actually seen the film, etc.?
I'm in the process of finishing the first book of the series. I wouldn't known about this wonderful piece of literature if it wasn't for the movie.
