Month after month, the seemingly ever-present hints of a T4i and Mirrorless ILC announcement from Canon never seem to simmer, as the roller-coaster ride of between what “might be,” “could be,” or “may presumably be” unveiled shows no signs of slowing down. Whatever the case may be, the loose word from the rumors-mill has yet to materialize into anything as of yet, begging the question as to when Canon will indeed unveil the two aforementioned offerings.

According to the latest word from “known sources” close to the good folks at Canon Rumors, the launch of a new Rebel and mirrorless camera may in fact be right around the corner, as multiple outlets have pointed to the same expected announcement time period of June 2012.

Canon Rumors has stated that the mirrorless camera in question will not be a PowerShot update, but a proper contender to the Sony NEX’s and Nikon 1′s of the world. Of course, being an interchangeable lens offering, preliminary rumors have the yet-to-be-named MILC likely to be announced with three to five lenses – all of which will be available at launch. As for the EOS 650D/T4i, the latest presumed specs for which can be viewed HERE, expect it to be announced with the above-mentioned mirrorless camera simultaneously.

As this developing rumor continues down the path of increasing credibility, expect more concrete details in the coming weeks…
