Chase Jarvis, the godfather of the sentiment “the best camera is the one that’s with you,” has put that practice to use in the latest DigitalRev pro photographer cheap camera challenge, which happens to be the season II finale for Kai Wong and the DR team.
The cheap camera in question? Well, the 3mp, built in flash, 1.5-inch LCD packing, infamous point and shoot from LEGO of course! And you thought those build-a-block toys were only for your little brother!
All jokes aside, the video really shows Jarvis in his element, communicating and interacting with the talent he is about to photograph before he even touches the camera – an incredibly important part of his photographic process that remains key for producing the best possible image. Take a look:
