iPad Air 2 and iPad Mini 3 Prematurely Outed by Apple Ahead of Tomorrow’s Announcement
In a rather surprising turn of events leading up to tomorrow’s expected announcement, Apple finds itself guilty of a product leak – prematurely detailing the “iPad Air 2″ and “iPad Mini 3″ on an iOS 8.1 user guide which was briefly available on the iTunes Store.
First appearing on 9to5Mac, a nimble fingered fellow was able to snap a screenshot of the user guide showing much of what the general public already expected. The new iPads will retain their current designs and remain nearly identical to their respective predecessors, but now include Touch ID functionality – a first for any iPad.
While one can assume the regular specification updates including a revamped processor, today’s leak also pointed to a new “burst mode” option for the iPad Air 2 – a feature prevalent on recent incarnations of the iPhone where one can hold the shutter button for up to 10 frames-per-second continuous shooting.
Aside from the aforementioned iPad updates, reports also indicate Apple will announce updated iMacs with retina display and the avaiablity of OS X Yosemite.
