Quick News – For their last and final DSLR announcement of 2012, Nikon will unveil the D5200 to the world next week, revealing more of an iterative update from its predecessor rather than a full-fledged specification and feature-set shake up.

According to Nikon Rumors, the official announcement will come on November 6th 2012 during the Salon de la Photo show in Paris. Specification wise, the mid-range D5200 will pack a 24MP DX-format CMOS sensor paired with the D3200′s EXPEED 3 imaging processor, resulting in an ISO sensitivity range of 100-6,400, 5 frames-per-second continuous shooting, and the same metering system found in the full-frame D600.

Thinking long-term, its rumored that Nikon’s next product announcement will come in January/February of 2013… More to come.
