According to the trust-worthy reports from Sony Alpha Rumors, created from word for numerous known sources, Sony is prepped and ready to unveil the successor to the acclaimed NEX-7 in April and further develop upon an already class-leading mirrorless camera.
While concrete specifications have yet to emerge, SAR states the new NEX-7N will sport a revamped 24MP imaging sensor with vastly improved low-light image quality and phase detection AF pixels on the sensor. Moreover, it’s been noted that Sony has even redesigned the internal circuitry to reduce the chance of overheating issues, something that’s been detailed by owners since launch.
Sources also note improvements to the already incredible 2.4M-dot OLED EVF, while maintaining a very similar form to the current model.
Expect a ton more NEX-7 successor talk as we inch closer to the camera’s suspected announcement this April.
