Well, it’s been forever-rumored and if these latest leaks are any indication, Pentax might very well be making good on their full-frame DSLR plans with what many outlets are calling the “K-3″ – a 20.3 megapixel shooter reported to be unveiled by the end of October, pictured above.
According to multiple reports from the likes of Pentax Forums, Ricehigh and Photo Rumors, the full-frame K-3 will pack the aforementioned full-frame sensor made by Sony and forgo an anti-aliasing filter. Reports also indicate it will feature 100% viewfinder coverage, come in both black and silver (eventually) and be priced around $1,200 – a price point that will make it the most affordable full-frame DSLR on the market.
If rumors hold true, the Pentax K-3 will be on display at this year’s Salon de la Photo show to be held in Paris on November 7th. Expect more image and/or specification leaks in the coming weeks.
