Preliminary word from sources close to Sony Alpha Rumors and Mirrorless Rumors indicate the new Sony a7000 will pack a “high sensitively” 24MP sensor, rapped in a weather sealed body, and retain the NEX-7’s regarded “tri-nav” control scheme. Additionally, the a7000 will presumably be able to record 4K video, feature an articulating touch screen rear LCD and be priced around $700 for the body or $1,200 with a new 16-70mm Zeiss kit lens.
Pass the salt, please.
As with all rumors, its important to take preliminary reports with a grain of salt. With that being said, conventional wisdom would lead one to believe Sony is planning on the eventual release of the successor to one of their most successful cameras – the NEX-7.
As we inch closer to January and CES 2015, and if the above-mentioned reports hold true, expect more in the way of Sony a7000 information to trickle in.
