It’s no secret that the Thailand floods have done than slow the tremendous momentum Sony’s prosumer camera division has made during the 2011 calender year, it has also halted the production of the NEX-5N and NEX-C3, as well as, delaying the highly-anticipated releases of the NEX-7 and Alpha A65. It wasn’t until recently that Sony confirmed that production had resumed in the region, setting the stage for today’s news of the expected time-frame in which we may see the NEX-7 hit the retail market.
The Verge is reporting that Sony USA’s COO, Phil Molyneux, has confirmed that the NEX-7 will indeed “arrive in January.” Continuing to state that “supply is an issue” for the Alpha line DSLRs along with the NEX C3 and 5N, revealing that the latter models are “currently available.” This proves to be welcoming news for consumers looking to get their hands on some of the fantastic cameras recently seen from Sony.
