Quick News – BBC Research has just released a report stating that by 2016, the global digital photography market should reach an estimated $82.5 billion, a 3.8% annual growth rate between 2011 to 2016. Specifically, digital cameras and lenses are set to inflate at an annual growth rate of 5.8% from 2011, growing to nearly $50 billion.
On the other side of the spectrum, however, photo printers and processing gear are slated to continue to struggle and so, sales will continue to slip. They are set to decrease by $300 million, totaling a firm reduction of nearly $24.7 billion.
