During the time the 5D Mark III enjoyed its time in the limelight, experiencing image leak after specification outing, the Canon T4i was also receiving a lot of buzz from the rumor-mills, shaping up to quietly be announced alongside its bigger brother. Now that the initial dust has settled on the frenzy of the day that was, lots of opinions have been surfacing on to what the mystery Canon DSLR shown above actually is. At this point, there seems to be more contradictions than apparent answers, with the 7D inspired button layout, but large 5D-esque looking prism indicating a possible full-frame sensor and no built-in flash.
