Supposed iPhone 5 Test Photo Spotted – Packs an 8MP Camera?

Share

Nothing like another iPhone leak to get the rumor mills up and running again. According to PocketNow.com, an Apple software engineer uploaded a photo to Flickr claiming to have come from the iPhone 4, but the attached EXIF data told a completely different story:

“Although the image has been cropped to 2235×2291 (5.12 MP), the original picture was a much larger 3264×2448 or just shy of eight MP… the lens was recorded as a 4.3mm f/2.4, which is closer to that of a point-and-shoot than the iPhone 4′s actual 3.85mm f/2.8.” Read More…

Adobe “Story” Expands its Resources to the iPhone

If you are a screenwriter, you’ve undoubtedly heard about, or have used the cloud-based screenwriting app from Adobe, aptly named Story. As part of Adobe’s CSLive suite of applications, Story allows users to streamline post-production workflows by using metadata to edit more efficiently in Premiere Pro CS5.5. Being a cloud-based service, it was only a matter of time before this great resource would be available to mobile devices.  iPhone and iPod touch users can now enjoy “some” of the valuable tools currently available on the web-version with the free IOS app called Script. Script allows for:

1. Access your scripts and documents on your iPhone
2. Receive notifications for all changes and comments made to your shared scripts and documents
3. Review comments and changes made to your scripts in a fast and intuitive way
4. Comment on your scripts and documents to capture ideas as and when they occur
5. All comments are synced back to your Story account
6. Recently used document list

If you aren’t familiar with the desktop version of Abobe’s screenwriting web-app, check out the video below.

Stabilize Your iPhone 4 Video with the DollyCam App

Share

For a cellphone, the iphone 4 can record some pretty damn good HD video. Of course it will never replace your HDSLR for videoshoots, but there are times where Apple’s smartphone can work in a crunch. If you have ever used the iPhone for recording video, you know exactly how shaky the resulting footage can be. It seems as though FR Vision AB were taking note of this and released a new app geared around conveniently removing camera shake and rolling shutter. DollyCam features:

- Full 30 fps video recording in HD (720p), VGA (480p) and HVGA (360p) resolutions
- Video stabilization
- Rolling shutter correction
- Zoom adaptively to reduce black borders (optional)
- Extrapolation to reduce black borders (optional)
- Export videos to your camera roll

Even if this app isn’t perfect, for the asking price of $2.99, it’s hard to not justify this purchase. DollyCam is currently available for the iPhone 4 and iPad.
