Over the past 48-hours, we’ve seen a lot of developments in the Pentax camp regarding the soon-to-be-announced K-30 DSLR. From a French catalog’s initial leak (shown above), to specification revelations, to even more image leaks, Pentax’s K-r replacement won’t leave much to the imagination on what to expect prior to its official announcement. Which leads into today’s K-30 tidbit, coming courtesy of Pentaxforums, revealing that the entry-level DSLR will be unveiled next week.
First Come the Image Leaks, Then Come the Specs – More Sony NEX-F3 & A37 Details Surface
After last week’s private Sony event was proven to be not-so-private due to the vast NEX-F3 and Alpha A37 image leaks which surfaced, it was only a matter of time before each camera’s specification revelations soon followed.
On May 17th, 2012, Sony will officially announce the above-mentioned respective entry-level NEX and Alpha models alongside two zoom lenses – the 18-200mm f/3.5-6.3 OSS, and 18-135mm f/3.5-5.6 SAM, the latter of which will be priced at or around $500.00.
First Look: A Leaked Image of the Upcoming Sony NEX-F3 Emerges
Adding a dose of visual confirmation to the initial reports from earlier in the week, the first leaked image of the soon to be announced Sony NEX-F3 has emerged courtesy of the DPReview forum member “bibogue.”
As the image above clearly shows and has been reported to be, the NEX-F3 will boast a same 16.1 MP sensor found in its predecessor, the NEX-C3, while adding built-in flash functionality, and, hopefully, carry the NEX-5N’s 1080/60p video capabilities as the AVCHD branding would suggest. Also visible is what Sony Alpha Rumors is reporting as a Samsung MV800-esque rear LCD, which can be adjusted from 0 to 180 degrees.

Even More Leaked Images of the Panasonic GF5 Surface, This Time Appearing in All White
Quick News – There seems to be no ceasing of Panasonic GF5 image leaks this week, as today another batch of front profile shots have surfaced courtesy of nPhoto. The First Clear Look of the Panasonic GF5 Emerges – Looks Very GF3-esque
Quick News – Just last week, an intentionally blurry image from what was believed to be the Panasonic GF5 surfaced, and although little could be deciphered from the leak, it was evident that not much had changed in terms of styling between the GF3 and GF5. Today, the first clear shot of the camera has emerged backing up that sentiment as, aside from a beefier hand-grip, the GF5 looks nearly identical to its predecessor… at least from the front.
