Today, we now have the first suspected NEX-7n specifications to munch on, brought to us courtesy of sources close to Sony Alpha Rumors.
According to the trust-worthy reports from Sony Alpha Rumors, created from word for numerous known sources, Sony is prepped and ready to unveil the successor to the acclaimed NEX-7 in April and further develop upon an already class-leading mirrorless camera.
Quick News – As previously reported, Sony is prepped and ready to unveil the latest additions to their NEX and Alpha line, planning to officially announce the NEX-3N, Alpha A-58 and three A-mount optics in the; 18-55mm f/3.5/5.6 II, 70-400G f/4.5-5.6 II and the highly-anticipated Zeiss 50mm f/1.4.
Fresh of a settlement with fellow digital cinema competitor, ARRI over some rather dubious corporate no-no’s including, but not limited to, email hacking and privacy invasion, RED has now pointed their legal arrows at another rival, filing a patent suit against Sony and their F-series line cinema cameras and asking the courts to carry out “the destruction of existing infringing cameras” – namely the F65, F5, and F55.
Quick News – Digicaminfo and Sony Alpha Rumors are reporting collective word from sources that touch upon Sony’s foreseeable product releases, outing some additional tidbits regarding long-rumored and highly-anticipated offerings.
Sony Alpha Rumors has just received and shared the first leaked image of the upcoming Sony NEX-3N – the successor to the current NEX-F3 and what’s appearing to be just a slight update over its predecessor.
According to the report associated with the leak, the Sony NEX-3N will pack the same 16.1MP APS-C sized sensor found in the F3, with the only major differentiations between the two cameras coming in regards to that zoom control dial shown in the image above – an addition clearly added in lieu of the two E-mount power zoom lenses Sony has recently released.
Quick News – The folks at DC.watch are reporting word from the floor of the CP+ imaging show held in Japan, dishing out some of the first details in regards to the long-awaited Zeiss Planar T* 50mm f/1.4 SSM for Sony’s alpha mount – also sharing images the metal-barreled beauty on display behind glass.
Well, it’s been speculated for quite sometime, and now that we’ve witnessed Sony’s willingness to pack a 35mm sensor in a pint-sized body, a-la the RX1, the full-frame mirrorless interchangeable lens camera (MILC) talk has once again picked up steam, with the historically reliable folks at Sony Alpha Rumors citing word from sources which point to the aforementioned.
Quick News - As of now, the only way to secure Sony’s new 16-50mm f/3.5-5.6 retractable zoom lens for yourself is to either buy the kit option of the NEX-6 or pay a unconscionable premium price on eBay. Luckily for us, Sony doesn’t agree with their customers pursuing the latter, as the camera maker has officially priced and dated the E-mount-optic as a stand alone item.
