There’s no doubt Sony solidified themselves as a formidable force in the prosumer camera market with their tremendous offerings of 2011. Especially with the NEX-5N and NEX7, becoming staples of quality and performance wrapped up in a pint-sized package.
Hoping to ride the continued wave of momentum gathered from last year into 2012, SonyAlphaRumors is reporting credible word from “known-sources” that three new NEX cameras will land within the next eight months. According to SAR, the first NEX camera will be announced in April, with the second unveiling coming in the summer. The last will be showcased at Photokina 2012 held in Cologne, Germany from September 18th – 24th.
Full Frame, Alpha/NEX Hybrid-Mount Camera on the Way From Sony?
One of the more talked about and lust-over faint dreams of a camera is a full-frame version of the NEX-7, meshing all the qualities that make Sony’s most sought-after prosumer camera in recent memory even more appealing with the benefits of a large sensor.
