Two More Panasonic “X” Lenses Planned for Release in 2012 – 12-35mm and 35-100mm “Fast Zooms”

Share

Riding on the wave of yesterday’s Panasonic X-series lens announcements, we now have two more pieces of “X” glass to look forward to in the coming year. Rumored to be released sometime in first half of 2012, these two lenses will carry the title of being “Fast Zooms” because of the expected large maximum F-stop. My guess is a constant F/2.8, but time will ultimately tell what Panasonic has up their sleeves. The next two additions to the X-series will carry a focal length from twelve to one hundred millimeters, the 12-35mm (pictured to the left) and the 35-100mm (pictured to the right). Similar to the optics announced yesterday, these lenses will feature optical stabilization, as well as nano-crystal coatings. Stay tuned for more information as it is delivered.
