The Canon 5D Mark II Price Drop Officially Takes Effect

The reported 5D Mark II price-cut that was expected to take hold shortly after its successor, the 5D3, was announced, has officially shown up at a number of online retailers today, listing a $300 savings on both the kit, and body-only options, dropping the price to $2,999 and $2,199 respectively.

Adorama in particular has kicked things off with a bang by offering a 24-hour only deal, including the: Canon 5D Mark II Body, 8GB CF Card, Extra LP-E6 battery, Slinger camera bag, Flashpoint battery grip, and a Red Giant production bundle for PC and Mac ($599 value), for $2,199.49.
