You remember that uber-successful Kickstarter campaign of late last year that brought nearly a half million dollars to Justin Jensen and his inventive-looking Cineskates? Absolutely obliterating his initial fundraising goal of $20,000? Well, if you do, you’ll be happy to know that Jenson and his team at Cinetics weren’t resting on their laurels, content with the public’s praise of their new product, as an equally impactful looking idea has just been announced, a Suction Cup Camera Mount System named CineSquid.
Based upon the foundation of Cineskates, the Cinesquid ditches wheels for suction cups, and is now able to mount itself to a myriad of contoured, multi-level surfaces as shown in the demo video below, giving filmmakers an added tool to express their creativity in a relatively hassle-free way, compared to similar suction mounts out on the market. Take a look:
For those who already have Cineskates, the section cups can be purchased separately, in a set of three for $120.00, while the complete unit with a GorillaPod Focus tripod, and BallHead X will set you back at $235.00.
