There’s no doubt Sony made a name for themselves among the community of independent creatives with their current digital camera offerings. The Alpha A65 and A77 are proving to be viable contenders to the Canon/Nikon DSLR thrown and the upcoming NEX-7 is shaping up to be one of the more appealing camera releases in recent history. These cameras pack tremendous sensors and processing technology, elevating the standards of what “affordable” prosumer digital camera can produce in terms of video quality. This same sentiment holds true with the Sony NEX-5N. With some minor setting optimizations, this pint-sized beauty can produce a gorgeous, cinematic video image. Here’s an example below:
