What you see above is a collage containing the three current image leaks we’ve seen so far of the soon-to-be-announced Olympus OM-D, due to make a proper unveiling on February 8th.
The leaks have all come from one anonymous source, releasing one partial image after another for the past week and a half. From what can be deciphered from the initial leaked batch, the camera bares a very OM-4-esque built-in viewfinder and, for the first time, the real name badge is visible above the mode dial (top right). It appears that early reports have validity as “OM-D” will most likely be the name of Olympus’s new micro four-third’s camera line and “..-3,” or “E-..” will be the retro-enthused camera’s name.
Here are the latest rumored specifications:
- ISO range: 200 – 25600
- 16MP Sensor
- TruePic IV Image Processor
- Weight: 373G (No Battery)
- Width: 121mm
- Weather-sealed Magnesium Alloy Body
- 3″ “tilting” touchscreen LCD
- 610K dot EVF
- Built-In Flash
- 5-axis (in-body) Image Stabilization
- “Fast” AF & 3D Tracking (Faster autofocus than the EP-3)
- Price: Around $1,100
- World-Wide Availability: Late March
With just over one full week away from the official announcement, and if history continues to repeat itself, check back for more image, specification, and feature-set leaks sure to make their way out before February 8th.
